Nestled on the edge of the serene Barangwe Pan in northern Botswana, Thobolo’s Campsite offers an authentic and eco-conscious wilderness experience for travelers exploring the Chobe, Savuti, and Linyanti regions. Surrounded by untouched bushveld and teeming with wildlife, the campsite is part of Thobolo’s Bush Lodge—a solar-powered, sustainably built haven that blends comfort with nature. Standard Chalets
Thobolo’s offers 12 eco-friendly chalets, each designed with comfort and sustainability in mind. The chalets feature two en-suite bedrooms with extra-length twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed, accommodating up to four guests. Every chalet includes an overhead fan, a fully equipped kitchen, a private dining area, and a spacious deck overlooking the Barangwe Pan—perfect for watching wildlife at the waterhole. Mosquito nets, insect repellent, hot and cold water, and modern en-suite showers are provided for a comfortable stay.
Family Chalets
Ideal for groups or families, the larger chalets feature two interleading en-suite bedrooms—one furnished with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds. These chalets also offer a shared living and dining space, a full kitchen, and a private deck with panoramic views of the waterhole. All amenities, including overhead fans, insect protection, and solar-powered lighting, are thoughtfully included.
Campsite
Thobolo’s offers 9 generously spaced campsites, each with a raised private viewing deck overlooking the pan. Every campsite comes equipped with two private flushing toilets, an open-air stargazing shower with hot and cold water, a dishwashing station, laundry wash basin, braai stand, and an electricity point. While there is no water directly on-site, clean water is available from a nearby communal point. Guests also have access to free Wi-Fi and charging stations at the main lodge area.
